I need to replace the catalytic converter on my 1999 Civic LX. The
unit normally costs around $500us/$800cad so I'm looking for a less expensive alternative. Any advice is appreciated. I'm located in Ontario Canada. The other option I've considered is repairing the existing one at least temporarily until I find a replacement unit. There is a hairline crack in the exhaust manifold, and I was wondering if there is some type of material that can be used to fill the crack? I have not noticed any performance changes and the Check Engine Light has not come on. The only noticeable thing is the smell of exhaust inside the car when the heater is on. Thanks! |
