Default Best quote from a service manager this year.

"I don't know about a lifetime warranty for a muffler on a thirteen
year old car...."***

*** caveat. He was new. He eventually honored it.
If at first you don't know, deny! deny! deny!!

The car is an Acura Integra 91, with a dealer installed replacement
muffler ($248, circa 1996). This will be the 3rd replacement for the
original muffler. The car has 131K. The parts & labor are included.
After 6 "lifetime" mufflers (pipes) from CarX (on an '83 accord) I
decided on the parts & labor deal from Acura. So far it's paying off.
One more replacement and I'll be rich!!!
Muahahahahahahahahahahahaha.....Cheerz

I wonder if the muffler is covered under the same warranty (just the
part) if you put the muffler on yourself. Anyone know?

Thanks,
Nick

Yes, but only parts, not labor.
