Default DTC codes

The check engine light on my 98 Accord recently came on, and when checking
out the codes at Advanced Auto Parts, it said the following: "system too
lean (bank 1)" and "fuel trim malfunction (bank 1)". Recently I put some
Shell-V premium gas in the tank, which is supposed to clean the system. I
wonder if this might have caused something.

Anyway, what problems might cause these codes?
