Default waxing car: tips for getting buildup near molding?

When I wax my car, it is difficult to rub in wax on the edges of the
car's molding to rub out the built up dirt out that car washing doesnt
get. I tried regular cotton swabs but they bend too easy. Any tips?

toothbrush, or the corner of a terry cloth towel. best bet is to be more
careful, not wax within an inch of the molding.

Should be able to get that dirt out with a soft brush and a buck of
soapy water. If the brush doesn't get it out, then typical waxing and
buffing shouldn't move that stuff around either, so it shouldn't smear
or anything.

imho,

You can use a tooth brush, foam or hair paint bush, they are dirt cheap
and last a long time, or just scrub really good the next time you wash
and use a good dish soap as the soap.
