My 99Accord V6 rough shifting getting worse , hesitate on
both up & down shift . I knew this Honda trans does not shift
very smoothly. Does anyone know what is the fix ?
Is there a TSB out from Honda on the problem ?

There is an extended warranty out on this transmission. Honda will
replace it.

One thing you need to know is if, when you had your last transmission flush,
they used the Honda tranny fluid. If not, that may be your problem. It
seems that Dextron just doesn't cut it.

With the transmission replace, thats not entirely true. The recall is for
'00-'02. I also have a '99 V6 and had this problem. I had to fight to get
Honda to pick up most of the cost as this year Accord is not covered under
the warranty they extended. Saying that, they did replace everything if I
paid for the labor (~$500 or more). Still a good deal.

I know other people on this list have gotten Honda to cut them a deal, but
don't think that it is a sure thing.
