I am hoping someone can offer some advice on this one. I repaired this '03
Accord EX rollover and replaced the passenger seat airbag in the process. I also replaced the side impact sensor and the SRS unit, as recommended by Honda. The DTC code won't clear - it says "faulty passenger side impact sensor". I have replaced the side impact sensor again, replaced the SRS unit again, and performed the honda procedures including the airbag simulator test to check the harness for shorts or opens. None have made a difference. Is there a trick out there besides what the tech manual says? Does the OPDS need to be re-initialized and if so is there a way I can do it without the dealer? This message also came up during the DTC scan but the tech said the side impact sensor needed to be fixed before he could initialize. What other components might trigger this error code - seat belt tensioner, OPDS, seat airbag, ...? Thanks in advance - This web site looked like my best bet of all I've seen to help solve my problem. Regards, Eric |

These sensors generate a signal by crushing the crystal between two
plates so the are single-use only. How many sensors do you suspect are crushed that you may have missed?
