I have a 2003 CRV and a 2004 Accord V6. Both recommend 5W-20 oil.
Mobil one comes in 0W-20 and 5W-30. I'm in Florida so cold weather perfromance is not an issue. SOme people tell me that Honda specs 5W-20 so their mileage results will be higher. So which one? Anyone have any experience with Mobil1 in late model Hondas? |

Oliver, I'd research this at Bobistheoilguy. http://theoildrop.server101.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php Many users have obtained excellent results (confirmed by used oil analysis) with 5w20 oils and with Mobil1 0w20 in Hondas. I do not think it is necessary to deviate from the owners manual. It may void your warranty. |

Mobil recommends using their 0W-20. Not wanting to risk voiding my
warranty, and since Mobil 1 doesn't come in the required 5W-20 weight, I use Pennzoil full synthetic 5W-20 in my 2003 Accord V-6. (I use Mobil 1 in my other car that requires 5W-30.) Mobile 1 actually says right on the label for the 0W-20 that it is
recommended for Ford and Honda. I have used it in both my 2004 Accord V6 and my 2004 Civic EX with no problems from day 1. My dealer here in Oklahoma City just put Quaker St. in my '04 Ody. Not by
my choice. Scott "Oliver Costich" <olc-caNOSPAM@cox.net> wrote in message news:g29sk0l9fq3hgp75pbsqbnl1dg856vn1ss@4ax.com... > I have a 2003 CRV and a 2004 Accord V6. Try the Royal Purple synthetic oil. It comes in a 5-20 and from what I have
seen, is better than the Mobil 1. "Oliver Costich" <olc-caNOSPAM@cox.net> wrote in message news:g29sk0l9fq3hgp75pbsqbnl1dg856vn1ss@4ax.com... > I have a 2003 CRV and a 2004 Accord V6.
