Hello,
Just got back from the honda dealer to have front brake pads replaced. No other work was done and rear brakes were adjusted. Now, that I'm back, when I try to lift up the hand brakes, I notice it's too tight and doesn't go up as far as it used to. Does anyone have any clues why all of a sudden the hand brakes got tighter? Thanks much! |

It doesn't matter how high you pull the parking brake. What matters is how much tension there is (in terms of how firmly your car is secured, especially on an incline). -- Disclaimer: This post is solely an individual opinion and does not speak on behalf of any organization. |

different number of clicks for different cars too. In the maintenance
schedule for my 86 accord it says 7-11 clicks. > it kinda does. its supposed to be 3-4 clicks. mine was about 9 clicks > before i adjusted it. if it gets to be too high up, eventually itll hit > the limit of travel and not hold properly. best to keep it on the tight > side. > > it also meant my passenger side rear wasnt adjusting right. gonna have to > keep an eye on that. > |

Does it release completely when you let it down? If it does, then there is nothing wrong. --------------- Alex |
