My accord always hesitates for a moment (less than a second) soon after I
first start driving it. I would say I drive maybe 1-2km and then the engine for just a moment appears to almost stall then runs perfectly. This only happens when the car has sat for a long enough period to cool off fully. It has no other problems and it works fine if I were to be on a lengthy drive say 500km or more, just that initial "almost stall" and then recovery. By the way its a 5 speed 4 cylinder, around 90000km. Anyone have any ideas? |

The problem seems to be when the car switches over from a cold running fuel mixture to the smog friendly lean fuel mixture, there is a momentary lag, but never a stall. There were a lot of suggestions throw but it seem that nobody got it fixed. I guess you just bought it used, otherwise if it's a new problem that appeared for you then it's probably something else. Thanks, that appears exactly to be it. I did buy it used and it always seems
to happen when the engine has reached normal running temperature. As I say, otherwise, its running perfect. Once the car warms up enough to soften up the gunk, it frees up the butterfly to work properly. Just get some carb cleaner on a rag and clean it up. Worked for me in the past. Good luck! |

Check your manual for service interval (it's a completely different engine) 'Curly' Don't forget the lunar eclipse tonight.... |
