Fault Code P0420

I have the same problem with my 98 Accord. The light came on after a 400
mile trip. When I took it to the dealer at 81498 miles, the service
advisor told me that the warranty was over (at 80K) and that I had to pay
for the repair. I reset the light and kept on driving but the light just
came on at 85K again. This time I have called Honda's cust svc number and
requested a review of my case, they'll come back to me in 3 days with an
answer. Just in case I have visited this place because I have seen a lot
of postings with people having problems right after the warranty expires -
not good business!

I had the same problem...$675.00, the warrenty has to cut off , 80,000, was
quite generous. If you do not have to have emiisssions testing, they have
aftermarket cats at 250.00 I got the Honda repl. because we have strict
emissions
checks here in Western Pa.
