Their service department is the worst. If you have *any* problems with
your vehicle as delivered, they will claim they are normal. I had a leak at an O-ring seal they claimed was normal/due to my overfilling the container. Sure...Honda designed it to leak. Oh yeah, those spongy brakes? Completely normal. The only thing they did correctly was clean the vehicle in and out prior to delivery. Notice I didn't say "prep the vehicle correctly". 60lbs in each tire isn't normal. I have had good service experience with Lia Honda down the road in Albany, NY. They didn't have the vehicle I wanted and Keeler did...next time I'll wait for Lia to get it. With every dealer I have dealt with, the front-line service guys always give you some bs about your problem. However, you go to the service manager at Lia (Dave Ericson) and you never have another problem. Keeler was not like this...their service manager (some bald asshole who never offered his name) was more interested in quelling my discontent. If you buy from Keeler, you have been warned...there are at least 3 other Honda dealers in the area (Mohawk, Saratoga, and Renssalaer) which I have no experience with...I would like to hear comments on those. |

Why da fuk do you keep going to Keeler for service? Are you one of those idiots
who thinks you have to service where you bought it? ____________________________________ Do not write below this line. Reserved for me. |

However, since I bought it there, I gave them a shot to correct the issues present on delivery. I have (and never had) any intention of going there for paid service (oil changes, basically). |

You might also consider getting a breaker bar and a 19mm socket to tighten (or loosen/retighten) the lugnuts. Don't bother with the wrench that came with the car if you're the easily frustrated type. Getting a torque wrench to correctly torque the lugnuts is also a good idea. This way you can be sure it is done correctly, can rotate your own tires, not get stranded somewhere with an overtightened lugnut. Do these things and you can eliminate a lot of the sources of frustration of being dependent on other people to do basic things right. |

The CR-V has a 3- piece bottle which snaps together...there are o-rings at the joints. The inner bore of one of them is mildly grooved resulting in the leak -- manufacturing defect...my 2003 didn't do this. > >> Oh yeah, those spongy brakes? Completely normal. > New brakes need to set. This was simply an example of their lack of attention to detail. 'Check tire pressure' was checked on the PDI checklist, but they didn't actually do it. |

I did a search at www.bbb.org and looks like Keeler Honda has
a slew of customer complaints against them. Reminds me of Speedcraft Volkswagon in Wakefield RI. Speedcraft ripped off people for years. They may not provide a loaner, but they're an excellent dealership nonetheless. I'll miss them when I move, and I am grateful for the posted reference to the Albany dealer. Does this sound like a reasonable person or a bitchy, sarcastic, pain in the ass? Who spends that much time and energy ranting at the dealer and on usenet about an overinflated tire? Translation: customers vary. |
