So what's the problem? The point is she's paying for her own mistakes. You raised a good kid. > She was actually thinking that she could get it back for free (only > pay for the repairs). Where do these teenagers get this stuff from? Indeed. No one here ever lost money to a mistake before, especially while being a teenager, I bet... My personal vote is to make the girl change the oil, air filter, plugs, distributor cap, and rotate tires, the next three times each is due. Include homework on the cost of DIY vs. having the shop do it. Follow this with a written test on the car's engine's operation. Minimum passing grade: 100%. (Screw grade inflation.) Soon she'll be taking care of your cars when you're in the nursing home and too stooped to bend over, much less check the oil dipstick. ;-) |

How did you know? (LOL)...actually not naturally...but in this case applies. Anyhow...I just did a compression check and I'm getting 120 to 150 lbs on 3 cylinders ...but unfortunately only 60 on the 4th. Time to pull the head. -- Give me Linux or give me ...uh..not Windoze. |
