I have a 1998 Honda Odyssey van and the driver side door won't open
from the outside. It likely has something to do with the power
window. We also have power door locks. It opens well enough from the
inside.

This happened once before to my wife and the mechanic fixed it pretty
easily but she doesn't remember what he did. Suggestions?

Unless your window/doorglass has been broken in the past it shouldn't
have anything to do with the outside door handle working....If the glass
has been broken a small piece of the tempered glass could get caught in
the handle. Easy fix IF that is the problem.

I don;t have one but ISTR mention of a pair of contacts which need cleaned
with some fine emery paper on Odyssey doors.

Thanks. Turns out the power window mechanism knocked off a rod. Hope
it's fixed. Thanks again for the ideas.
