Is Honda named brand coolant better than other?

Depends on "other" I suppose but in general it *is* recommended - there are
people, I'm one, who have seen a water pump destroyed in ~20K miles from
using Prestone regular antifreeze in a Honda engine. Specifically, you
must not put antifreeze which contains silicate sor borates in a Honda
cooling system; if you want to experiment with Dex-cool for the sake of
saving $12. or so, every 3years or so, it's up to you. Personally I won't
use anything but the Honda stuff. This issue has been much discussed in
the past so do a search at Google Groups for more info.

I do agree with George. Just add a few dollars more and get the Honda
Coolant. Why risk the engine?
