What is the recommend torque for the front caliper mounting bolts? Thanks

What diameter are these bolts?

They seem to be 8 mm nominal diameter (where the threads are) bolt on many 1990s
Hondas. This bolt requires typically 17 to 25 ft-lbs of torque, depending on the
particular model and according to Chilton's. (Chilton's is more specific about
the torque, BTW. I'm just suggesting that 54 ft-lbs sounds way off.)

If the original poster's are likewise 8 mm diameter, I'd get a manual from the
library or wait for some other authoritative citation before proceeding.

Do you mean the sliding pins which hold the caliper body to the bracket?...
yes it's 54lb-ft. The bolts which mount the caliper bracket to the
knuckle, it's 80lb-ft.

That model Accord has a different variation on Honda's (Nissin's ?) design
from what I've seen on Civic/Integras. The caliper pin/bolt is a single
piece which screws into the caliper body with the pin part sliding in the
caliper bracket sockets. The torque specified in the Honda/Helm manual
*is* 54lbf-ft.
