I have a 98 Honda Accord and the reading is hot. The funny thing is if
I Leave the thermostat in and turn on heater, the temperature returns to normal. I have tried multiple thermostats with no luck. Also replaced radiator and water pump. However if I run without a thermostat I am fine and can run with AC. Dealership believes it is blown head gasket, any other suggestions? I was going to do a compression test that might help for head gasket as well, right? Thanks Wayne |

Or, you open the heater valve, air bubbles rushes away from thermostat. Thermostat open and car runs cools. Bubbles came from head leak? All speculations. |
