I have a 2004 Civic VP (Value Package). I would like to add a
tachometer to it. I would like to buy either a new or slightly used EX gauge cluster and do a direct swap. My question is - since my odometer is digital, will the new odometer read my current milage or will it read the milage on the new odometer? Is the milage on my car stored in the ECU or in the speedometer itself? Any help would be appreciated - Thanking you in advance. Jeff |

If the poster wants to change his dash, why shouldn't he? Is there a legitimate reason why he can't do what he's asking? He prolly doesn't care that YOU would think he's a poseur. news:7fdb0f8.0407080416.5792ffcc@posting.google.co m... I have a 2004 Civic VP (Value Package). I would like to add a tachometer to it. Jeff,
In your 2004 Civic the mileage in the odometer is stored in the instrument cluster. If you change the instrument cluster, the mileage your car shows will be that of the new cluster. I live in Canada (km/h) but purchased my Civic from the USA(Mph) so I had to do a cluster swap – learned from experience. Luckily I found a cluster that was only a few km's more than what the car actually had on it. Hope this helps, Sebastian jjszabo2000@yahoo.com (jjszabo) wrote in message news:<7fdb0f8.0407080416.5792ffcc@posting.google.c om>... > I have a 2004 Civic VP (Value Package).
