I just purchased a new 2004 Civic VP. The owner's manual suggests the car
has a 13.2 US Gallon gas tank. The other evening, my gas gauge was getting low. In fact, the low fuel indicator light came on. So I headed to the nearest gas station. I filled the tank until the auto-shut-off activated. I tried to add more fuel in case the shut-off was early, but it shut off almost immediately. The tank was full. I looked at the pump and I'd only put in about 9.9 gallons. When I started the car, the tank again registered as full. And so, the question.....: Do I have a small tank on my Civic, or is my gas gauge prematurely reading empty? |

The other evening, my gas gauge was getting 2003 Civic ULEV models have a 13 gallon molded-in-place plastic tank. 2003 Civic SULEV models have an 11 gallon steel tank. That would have to apply to the AT-PZEV as well. Want "EV" level is yours? Mine has a sticker in the left rear window, and under the hood. -- --- Clarence A Dold - Hidden Valley (Lake County) CA USA 38.8-122.5 |

You'll get around 13 gallons then. -- Disclaimer: This post is solely an individual opinion and does not speak on behalf of any organization. |

The low fuel comes on means it's low on fuel, not empty. If it comes on when there is no fuel. It kind of defeat the the purpose. If you run your car till there is no more fuel (good luck finding a gas station)and fill it up, then it should be around 13 gallons. |
