Default 94 civic coupe antenna question

Hi,
While I was trying to install an aftermarket radio I pulled on the boot of
the antenna connector that goes into the back of the radio and the boot came
apart. My question is the follwing; do I have to change the whole antenna or
can I somehow just splice the wire and sit it in a new boot connector?
How hard is it to replace the antenna?
Your feedback is appreciated, thanks.

I'm not sure if you can replace the end or not.. but if your antenna is
roof mounted, it's very easy to replace..

Just don't do what I did.. Yank out the old one and THEN try to figure
out how to get the new one in there... Tie a string (or, since you have
no end.. i'd tape it.. SECURELY) to the radio end of the wire.. then
unscrew the antenna and pull it out slowly until you have a good bit of
string sticking out the hole...

Then, tie the string to the radio-end of the antenna and feed the end
into the hole.. Then slowly pull the string through the inside-end of the
car until you have the antenna wire in there..

Going this route, you should be done in no more than 30 minutes.. unlike
the 2 hours i spent trying to get the stupid wire back in..

Thanks for the tip, will try it today, if the weather agrees.

that's a 2 piece antenna wire. there's a section that runs from
the a-pillar to the radio. replacing the antenna won't fix your
problem, they come seperately. behind the dash near the drivers door
is another connector jut like the one at the radio, it's hard to see
but it's there. just get the part you need.
