Hi everyone, I recently bought a 97 Civic EX coupe. The tires are
pretty worn so I ordered some new Yokohama Avid Touring from tirerack.com (they have pretty good price and great service). What I like to do is to keep one of the good tire that still has some tread left, buy a steel wheel and make a full size spare out of it. The donut spare that comes with the car looks really pathetic so I don't have any confidence in it. I thought someone must have done this already. If you have, can you let me know how it worked out? Would the full size spare fit in the trunk cavity well? Or would it leave an unsightly bulge and damage the board above it? Thanks |

I high doubt it'll ever fit in the spare compartment.... but you can always
leave it in the trunk! "Orick" <ron_xu@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:2d0e3f82.0406230853.5d9fdb5b@posting.google.c om... > Hi everyone, I recently bought a 97 Civic EX coupe. Yes it will fit. It will sit slightly higher though, raising up the floor
cover a little. The hold down is even reversible for a full size spare.
