I have checked the Ign switch and it appears o be working. I don't have
access to any schematics so I need to know if there is a relay after the
switch and where it's loacated. All the pertinent fuses were checked. The
engine willstart and the idiot lights will light with the key to the start
position but once you release the key it dies.

Most likely the ignition switch. Here's how the system works:
