Default Coolant overheating problem

My 1991 Accord is acting overheating problem over 40 MPH. The temperature
gauge rises to almost red indicator at highway speed, over 55MPH. I already
changed the thermostat and bleed the coolant air bubbles. The symptom
happens at hot environment; I notice the coolant boiling in the reservoir
with many bubbles and create a very high pressure to push the coolant out of
reservoir. I am wondering can anyone suggest the solution to solve this
problem.

Thanks

Sounds suspiciously like a failed head gasket.

When you make sure the rad AND the reservoir are at the proper level,
afterwards does the rad go down and the reservoir go up?

I check my car while the engine is warm. Both radiator coolant level is low
and the reservoir is empty while I check the reservoir yesterday morning
before I drove the car is at max level. I am wondering if there has air
bubbles in coolant, will it act the symtom like that?

Thanks

Eric

A friend of mine had a Triumph that overheated regularly. The problem went
away when he changed the oil!
