Hi, have a 92' accord 2 door and the drivers side power widow switch
takes the window down but not up. Window does go powered all the way down, switch up -dead-. Had heard in past a 'click' around 'ignition on' from the switch once or twice, then today, it clicked again, and no power up. Going to seat/reseat the relay, bout all i can do. Dealer wants $75 for switch. (this switch has the 'auto-down' feature.) The window was taken 'down' by 'down' switch, not the 'auto-switch' in 3 steps, and now is all the way down. Went to see if all the way down might 'release' it if it was stuck in 'auto-down' 'mode', but doesn't seem so. Does this sound like a switch problem? thanks, jdc |

btw- the switch for the passenger side works fine. since post, did
some searching here and pretty much found all applicable answers. -Check cables w/open door in door jam, (open/close,repeat, look for changes) -Unseat/reseat relay, check leads. (mine didn't change things.) -Spend a good 15 minutes working the switch over (in my case a full 'up' window helps), push hard, push light, etc, etc, and see if u can get it to work, etc -Check switch is plugged in properly, (after door panel off though) -Get parts from junkyard instead. (dig that, dealer cost crazy.) There was one reply though I hoped to clarify i digged up tho- > You have a bad power window control unit. You hear the relay click but it > isn't making contact. Would this mean where you hear clicking at the unit (where switch is) over and over and with no window up or down, or could this also mean one way like mine? (down only works.) Mine in fact had clicked once at key 'on' 3 times i noticed total. This last time (3rd) is now when it won't go up. thanks, jdc |

Check to make sure the switch is plugged in tight, if so it is probably
the regulator. Honda's have a cable driven system and are notorious for breaking. 95% of the time it's the regulator. Take the door panel off and look inside and see if you have a crows nest of cable. The motor and regulator are a one piece unit and is easily replaced if you are somewhat mechanically inclined.
