So I said goodbye to the 90 Accord and now have a 2002 Accord LX. And I'm very happy with it so far. I was wondering about the feasibility of installing a CB radio in place of the compartment below the factory CD player. I've got a Cobra 18WX ST which is the same size as a standard radio. Can the lower compartment (the one with the door) be easily removed alone, or is it part of the whole factory radio installation? I've looked at places like http://www.autotoys.com/New_Tech/DIY...ord/accord.htm but can't seem to find pictures about whether the factory installation is one big piece or seperate. I'm also wondering if it does come out, whether i'd need some sort of special bracket to support a second radio down there. Worst comes to worse, I'll just hang it below the compartment, but I'd rather not drill holes in the dash if I don't have to. Thanks in advance, Eric |
