You can damage the color of the carpet with that. Scrape off the loose, crusty salt with a popsicle stick or something and vacuum up. Wet a rag to near-dripping with plain water. Place on top of salt stain, press in lightly and leave until the salt has dissolved (an hour or so). Once the salt has dissolved, use a fresh rag with more water to press it in and dilute the salt. You can rub a bit. Now get a DRY rag, and press/wiggle it into the wet carpet to soak up the water. Keep pressing with the dry parts of the dry rag and most of the salt will be removed. At this point, if you want an extra nice job done, you can use a wet-dry ShopVac while that part of the carpet is still wet. -- TeGGeR® The Unofficial Honda FAQ http://www3.telus.net/public/johnings/faq.html How to find anything on the Internet or in Usenet Groups: www.google.com www.groups.google.com |

Just have 1 tablespoon of white vinegar to 1 cup of water and you'll be fine. dave |
