I live in Chile.
We have very rough streets here (lots of holes, cobblestone, etc), so rattles are a lot more evident here than in the US. (At least that's what I remember when I used to live up there). I just brought back my Accord from the dealership after they spent two days fixing the rattles. They replaced the center console (the pop-up door), which was the most noisy thing of all. Seems a lot more quiet now. -Indirecto "JM" <jmattis@attglobal.net> wrote in message news:de3b9c1b.0405110948.203c0502@posting.google.c om... > "Indirecto" <indirecto@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:<c7mrdf$p75$1@news1.nivel5.cl>... > > Hi, > > > > I just bought an Accord, replacing a Nissan Pathfinder (I really liked the > > truck, but became tired of bleeding money at the pump). > > > > Nice car, but my problem is that the car seems full of squeaks and rattles. > > > > żIs this common? > > > > My last "Honda" was a 1990 Acura Integra, which even though was a lot > > cheaper, it felt much better put together. > > > > -Indirecto > > I had a '90 RS auto Integra and it was solidly built. So don't blame the manufacturers; blame the governments. > There certainly are government pressures to reduce emissions, improve fuel economy and improve safety ... but not to "cut costs". The auto manufacturers don't get a free ride by blaming the governments for the auto companies sometimes ham-fisted cost cutting efforts. John |

My '03 has an annoying squeek in the area around the shifter, used to have a
rattle inside the stereo headunit somewhere but that went away on its own.
