At 24K miles I started noticing hesitation and other
transmission-related symptoms. Honda agreed I needed a new tranny. So did the guy on line behind me at the service desk. On the repair bill, Honda noted the transmission fluid was burnt and contaminated, that the transmission gears had some damage. Seems to me the transmission recall announced recently probably extends to "some" Accords. So if you notice any transmission problems with your car, I strongly suggest you bring it in for service before the warranty expires... |

Uh, your car has 24K miles..... which means your warranty hasn't expired. Don't
need a recall to fix fried trans under warranty. ____________________________________ How to turn off 'Maintenance Required" light: 1. Hold trip/reset button on dash 2. Turn key to "ON" or start engine 3. Hold button til light goes out --------------------------------------------------- |

He just happened to mention the recall. He didn't know you'd be reading it, otherwise he would have simplified it so you could understand. |
