We had both an '86 and an '88 Lxi. The '86 was purchased new, and the
'88 was used. Both were great little cars, but not even in the same league as our 2003 EX V-6. But the 4 cylinder versions, especially with manual transmissions, were superb cars--better, dare I say, than the current model. Without doubt. |

So I suppose 12500 more miles puts this car in a whole different league, moron. |

I am too a defender of the Gen6 model. The format is just right (Gen7 is
big). The chassis is really great. For look alone, my choice goes to the Accord EX(-R) '94-95. Probably the Gen7 is the best, overall; too bad that its front-end is a deal breaker for me. As for '86-89 Accord, its specs in sizes and dimensions could almost compare to a new Civic "Elmo P. I have a 2002 Accord EX-V6 and have been experiencing jerky behavior
in the tranny. Do you have any further data on these transmissions, or any links to more info? This car was purchased as a "Honda Certified" vehicle, with full warranty, and a fix would be free. Thanks. Jeff On Sat, 01 May 2004 21:11:58 -0400, "Elmo P.
