Hi folks;

I'm thinking of installing a hitch on my 02-Civic 5 speed. Does anyone know
if this will void the factory warrantee? I'm getting this installed by a
professional hitch installation garage. All I'm going to tow is boxes and
camping equipment and will not exceed 1000lbs.

My manual for my 2004 civic specifically tells me not to do this. I
asked the dealer about installing one for mounting a bike race and he
said that would be fine but also warned against towing a trailer. I'm
sure the transmission and running gear in these cars is pretty
lightweight, it doesn't strike me as a good idea, but I'm no engineer.
