Hi folks;
I'm thinking of installing a hitch on my 02-Civic 5 speed. Does anyone know if this will void the factory warrantee? I'm getting this installed by a professional hitch installation garage. All I'm going to tow is boxes and camping equipment and will not exceed 1000lbs. Thank you |

My manual for my 2004 civic specifically tells me not to do this. I
asked the dealer about installing one for mounting a bike race and he said that would be fine but also warned against towing a trailer. I'm sure the transmission and running gear in these cars is pretty lightweight, it doesn't strike me as a good idea, but I'm no engineer.
