Automatic trans.Speedo and gas guage lights were intermittant,now dark.Still
have lights for heater,ac controls etc.Dimmer control still works for the
transmission indicator lights.Fuse ok.Can anyone point me in the right

Happened to my 91 Civic Hatchback a few years ago. The problem was a
loose connector under the cowling of the instrument cluster. I guess
this was sending electricity to the gauge lights (LEDs?). To access,
remove the screws that hold the gauge cover to the dashboard (a couple
of screws are on top near the windshield, covered with small plastic
tabs...if I remember correctly). Then take the cover off. There are
multiple electrical connectors that run into the top of the guage
cluster. Just check them for play. If loose, push them back into the
connectors.
