Hi All,
I need to replace my radiator on my 95 Integra and had a few questions. I was looking through my Hayes manual and it looks pretty straightforward on disassembling the radiator (pull the fans out, disconnect the radiator hoses and transmission lines remove a few screws and it should pull out). Are the transmission lines quick disconnects so that the transmission fluid doesn't leak out, or do I need to cap them off? I'm planning on getting a radiator from Autozone as the OEM will cost me more than $400. I usually buy OEM parts but can anyone see why I should go with OEM over aftermarket for this part? Any suggestions/comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Nick |

Some BIC or marker pen caps might fit. A plastic turkey baster from the dollar store is good for sucking ATF from the hoses. Use Honda ATF for best shifting and longevity. Don't use tap water to dilute the new coolant. :-( 'Curly' ================== |

Dream on. golf tees might work. > I'm planning on getting a radiator from Autozone > as the OEM will cost me more than $400. Last time I looked, the parts store chain was selling Modine, which is the quality brand name and had a lifetime warranty, for half the price of the Honda one. I might be leery of some made in China one for $50 with a 30 day warranty, though. >Any suggestions/comments would be greatly appreciated. > > Thanks, > Nick |
