A question for those that have multi year service and repair
experience. I have both a 90 and a 97 Accord, driven by my sons. Both are four cylinders. I have a full service manual for the 90. The 97 is away at college with a son and It has a problem in that it will not start (turn over). Assuming the battery is good, is the service data for electrical testing and component location for the ignition switch, starter relay, Clutch interlock switch, solenoid and starter going to be relatively the same on the 90 and 97. In other words can I go through all the procedures indicated in the 90 manual and find and test the same components on the 97in the same manner. Before I go down to check out the vehicle, I need to know whether I should try to find a 97 manual or if I can get by with the 90. |
