Don't be surprised if the crank bolt takes about 600 ft-lbs to >break loose. I'll second that recommendation. I'd also add an impact wrench, something to immobilize the pulleys.. (Snap On sells very nice camshaft pulley holders for around $100/ea.). The V6 may have 5.0 mm holes near the pulleys that you can stick drill bits through.. (3/16" drill bit = 4.7 mm). A good impact wrench with a reliable air source is invaluable though. The other thing I find useful is wood. Wood between the engine oil pan and jack as you may need to manipulate it a little to take some pressure off the engine mounts. __________________ Note: To reply, replace the word 'spam' embedded in return address with 'mail'. Thanks for the advice.
Yes, I've 1/2 in drive impack wrench. I knew that it is tough to break loose the crank shaft bolt. The other trick I ever used is using a good breaker bar and socket wrench well sitting on the the bolt head , then give a very shot crank on the engine using the starter. Be sure the rotation is right to break loose, other wise will be F#*!
