I installed the entire remote entry system in my 98 Accord LX,
including trunk release. Took about 5 hours, but was very satisfying.

You can verify whether your trunk is pre-wired to accept the
electronic trunk release by poking around for the terminal noted in
the instructions above. Be warned, Honda hides this very well, so
don't get discouraged. It's probably there.
