I will replace the rotors on my civic, and I don't have any more of the
molycote grease, I lost the little bit I have left. The pads are new, about 2 weeks old. What can I use instead? anti-squeal stuff they sell at AutoZone is ok? Will the dealer sell the grease without the pads? |

Any copper or aluminum-based high-temperature grease will do. I use Loctite C5A. It's copper. Permatex 133H is OK too. It's aluminum. -- TeGGeR® The Unofficial Honda FAQ http://www3.telus.net/public/johnings/faq.html How to find anything on the Internet or in Usenet Groups: www.google.com www.groups.google.com |

Great, look at the following link:
http://www.jensentools.com/product/g...rent_id=420597 It is a lot easier to apply than the liquid grease, less mess. Thanks "Tegger®" <teggeratistopdotcom@changetheobvious.invalid> wrote in message news:Xns94BEA44688754teggeratistop@207.14.113.17.. . > "Samuel" <shill025@home.com> spake unto the masses in > news:vd%ac.10056$3E1.8518@fe2.texas.rr.com: > > > I will replace the rotors on my civic, and I don't have any more of > > the molycote grease, I lost the little bit I have left. 08798-9010. A tube of M77. Pretty pricey stuff though, I think it's about
$15 (but it lasts a long time... you don't need much of it) "Samuel" <shill025@home.com> wrote in message news:vd%ac.10056$3E1.8518@fe2.texas.rr.com... > I will replace the rotors on my civic, and I don't have any more of the > molycote grease, I lost the little bit I have left.
