Check engine light came on, went off, came on, went off.
Took to dealer, they said it was catalytic converter and can replace
for $800. Car was just emissions tested two weeks ago when light was
on and it passed just fine. Dealer said it shouldn't have.
Light went off again.

Should I just let it go, or can it be another problem. I hate to shell
out $800 just to find the light coming on again.

How about getting a second opinion-viz. an independant garage.?
