extended warranty... we've never bought an extended warranty and have
driven hondas in access of 200,000 miles with lil beyond regular maintenance... the 2002 accord had 96,000 miles on it when another car hit it and ours then hit the concrete wall of the interstate at 65 mph almost head-on, fer which the car was totaled, though where we sat, with front & side air bags, plus seat belts, to where we only have a back injury that will heal with time... and surprising how even the front windshield wasn't even cracked, though the whole front was squished... thus we bought another accord... now, with the 2002, we did have to get computer chips at round 75,000 miles fer $300... and this new 2004 is sooo much more electronic... thus given that most likely we'll drive it till it has at least 100,000 miles, if not 200,000, i'm wonderin whether to get the honda care 100,000 mile extended warranty fer what supposedly is a bargain at $800, namely that all these computer sensors and chips could perhaps cost that much... and it has roadside assistance, towing, car rentals, plus... and normally, we wouldn't give an extended warranty a second thought, though this one is thru "honda", thus could be that needle in the hay stack good thing... what y'all think?... |

I think others will agree that the bottom line on these things (presuming
that it's a good warranty, and this one sounds like it) is that if you would feel good about it, then do it. You're buying peace of mind. Agree. If I would have known that I could get a warranty with that many
miles on my car I think I would have done it. I believe you can cash it out for the unused portion if you ever sell the car also. I just bought an Accord with HondaCare. An interesting twist is that if you
never use the warranty during the seven years, they return the money back to you. Jerry "Ryan" <nothinfun@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:dZydnUAhO5tT3qPdRVn-uQ@comcast.com... > Agree.
