Default Power window kit for 95 Civic DX hatchback

I was looking to put electric windows in 95 Civic DX hatchback. There
is this kit from a company called Electric Life for my car, has anyone
had any experience with this kit, if so how did the installation go,
any unforeseen problems or whatnot. It looks like the kit completely
replaces the existing manual crank system with all new hardware, it's
not just a motor turning the manual crank for you, so it seems like a
high quality kit.

Default Re: Power window kit for 95 Civic DX hatchback

I don't know about the power windows, but I got the ME-S two-door power
door lock kit listed on the Electric Life site. It has worked very well
since I installed it in late 2002. One of the biggest headaches of
installation is bringing the wires into the door on a clean way. On your
Civic (no power mirrors, right?) each door has a two-pin connector for
the speakers only. Mine had 8 pin connectors in both doors (2 speaker, 3
mirror and 3 spare). I went to the local junk yard and got the driver's
side wire harness from an EX sedan, big old 26 pin connectors. I
transferred the 5 factory wires over to the 26 pin connectors and used
some of the remaining 21 wires for the power door lock installation. The
26 pin connector fits in the same cutout in the door as your existing 1
pin ones.
