I am looking to replace my front rotors on my GS-R soon. I did the rears last summer and found the stock Honda parts to be a little pricey. Does anyone have a recommendation for parts of equal (or better) quality for less money? |

I can't tell you what to go with but I can tell what not to go with. I
tried some name brand cross-drilled rotors. The holes were ball milled to help prevent cracking. After a few months of my street driven Accord the rotors were cracking from the holes. Gordon,
I have a 97 accord and the rotors are a pain to replace; so I bought what claims to be a better rotor and went with Ray- bestos "professional grade". I was not looking for a racing rotor, just something hopefully better that even stock. I got mine at PEP boys. http://www.raybestos.com/usa/rotors.htm So far, so good. After only after 5k, still good. Been down a long mountain road too. chuck Gordon McGrew wrote: > I am looking to replace my front rotors on my GS-R soon. No fancy cross drilling or slotting on them, held up well. |

I've got about 120,000km on my Brembo Cross Drilled rotors. They're on their
third (and probably last) set of pads (front). Perhaps on another car they wouldn't last as long, but it doesn't take much braking force to bring a 98 Civic hatch to a halt. I paid $550 for them about 3.5 years ago. Pars CaptainKrunch wrote: > I can't tell you what to go with but I can tell what not to go with. I > tried some name brand cross-drilled rotors. Yep I just replaced the rear rotors on my '99 Integra and got the OE Brembo parts from here: http://www.importrp.com/home.html I had no trouble and they shipped within 2 days - I went with 3-day shipping since I don't trust UPS ground and didn't want to find them bent on delivery. Those are definitely genuine Brembo parts - branded boxes/rotors and instruction sheet. Rgds, George Macdonald "Just because they're paranoid doesn't mean you're not psychotic" - Who, me?? |

Brembo OEM replacements.......likely the best.
DO NOT even think about the Autozone rotors. They used to stock the Brembo's, but went with some cheap overseas pieces. I warped the rotors on my 93 HB in under 5,000 miles. PS I had the larger Teg brakes also. Thanks everyone for your advice. I went with the Brembo OE rotors and I will try the PBR Ultimate (ceramic/kevlar) pads. (I remember when PBR was Pabst Blue Ribbon.) |

These are designed for street use and might fit your needs well. Expect them to be significantly less expensive than a drilled Brembo, but a little more than Professional Grade Raybestos. |> I am looking to replace my front rotors on my GS-R soon.
