Default 1988 Accord Exi Suspension Question

I have just purchased a 1988 Accord Exi.
I have been told that the car has a lowering kit on it.
How would I know if this is true?
Honda says the car should have about 6.3" of clearance.
Where do I measure this, from the ground to what point on the car?

Thanks in advance for answers.
