I've noticed on both of my cars after checking the ATF fluid, the dipstick
just seems to sit in place, it doesn't feel like it "locks" or "seats in" like a plug. Is there some sort of vacuum created that keeps it in place? Seems like a really good bump could easily knock it out. -- -Chris http://www.ChrisGarcia.com - My Homepage http://www.Evangar.com - Affordable Web Hosting, and much more! |

Same on my 98 civic (108K miles). I went to the dealer and got a new ATF
stick, and this new one is not loose like the old one, it feels tight.. I'd recommend you to replace it for a new one. I may check into getting them replaced, shouldn't be too expensive. -- -Chris http://www.ChrisGarcia.com - My Homepage http://www.Evangar.com - Affordable Web Hosting, and much more! |
