The gas tank on my '88 HB is split at the seam
near the back of the tank. Does anyone in Toronto
has any experience getting a tank replaced or repaired?

For what it's worth, it's got 205,000 kms, uses
no oil (leaks a few drops up front somewhere).

Replace the tank for a new one.
Expect to pay $250 for the tank and 2 hours labor.
