Take your registration and go to your dealer. He'll be able to carve one from you based on your VIN (serial number). |

You can try a locksmith who does auto work, they should be able to make new keys for you. Norm |

If the Key has the imobolizer function you are screwed unless you have
the master key. I had the same problem when I purchase my 98 prelude and made the dealer supply two keys. Cost the dealer over $100 for a new imobolizer unit. Call the dealer maybe it changed in 99! david.murphy17@ntlworld.ie (davemurphy) wrote in message news:<6496d7b5.0402081556.2d779342@posting.google. com>... > hi, i have a 1999 honda crv and i lost the only key i had for the crv, > i bought it second hand and never got around to getting one made, > anyway does any body know how much this is likly to cost? and do i > have to go tru a main dealer? thank's, dave. |

Hold trip/reset button on dash 2. Turn key to "ON" or start engine 3. Hold button til light goes out |

Even for cars that have the immobilizer, a locksmith with the right equipment can originate NEW keys for your car, without the original master key. Don't believe the dealers who say only they can service the car. They want you to believe that. Norm |
