1997, two owners, AWD version w/ automatic, hard shell rear tire cover,
Alpine indash CD, factory alarm, power windows, mirrors, no accidents, almost everything works good. Non-smoker. From a 'clearance' type car dealer. The catch: 290,000 km (180,000 mi) asking $7,950 CDN (American dollar costs about $0.75) I'm finding it hard to figure out the book value because of the high mileage. Quick survey, Would YOU buy it?? ____________ 'Curly' =============== Reply to group: |

For 118,000 miles it has been a great car. Still has the original battery and exhaust system in it. Only thing I changed are tires and brakes. This is a great car. |

I wouldn't buy a used CR-V, whatsoever. I used to think mine was reliable until
it blew a gasket at 80K miles and cost me $2000. Buy new or stay away. Btw, used CR-Vs with almost 200K miles go for less than $5000 here in CA. How to turn off 'Maintenance Required" light: 1. Hold trip/reset button on dash 2. Turn key to "ON" or start engine 3. Hold button til light goes out |

I bought my 98 civic with almost 200 000 km in it, and got a discount for
that (almost 5k canadian total price). I think if you can bring down the price (maybe by 500), it will be a good deal... you probably know better than me that if well taken care of, Hondas go well beyond 300 000 km. "'Curly Q.
