Hi.
(1) A reservoir next to windshield washer fluid one - what is it for? I dont have a svc manual and I'd like to know before I go to mechanic. [White plastic reservoir above and slightly to the right if facing the engine (the front). (2) If it's below lower limit, can it cause check engine light on? Thanks a lot! |

If the overflow tank gets below minimum, air can get sucked into the radiator as it cools and tries to pull the fluid back in from the overflow tank. If the radiator is still full, all you need to do is raise the level in the tank with anti-freeze. It can't set a check engine light by itself, but overheating resulting from nothing in the radiator could eventually light up something. |

If it is, there should be a tag on the top of it and a small rubber cap. It should be filled with brake fluid. This can set the ABS light if it runs too low. |
