The manual calls for timing belt replacement at 60k and then at 110k on the V6.
Should I do the water pump also at 60k or could it wait til the 110k belt change. Also, how tough a job is the belt change on this thing. It look a little tight in there. Thanks Bill |

Timing belt changes can be quite difficult (especially for wedged in engines) if you don't have a good assortment of hand/air tools. __________________ Note: To reply, replace the word 'spam' embedded in return address with 'mail'. Replacing it early shouldn't hurt anything but your wallet (and maybe your time) -- my '99 Accord V6 owner's manual mandates that the timing belt be changed at 105k miles on both the normal and severe schedules. Ahm-ownerlink.com confirms this. That being said, I plan to have mine done in a few months at 90k along with a new Honda water pump. > Should I do the water pump also at 60k or could it wait til the 110k belt > change. My preference would be to do both, but I try to err on the side of reliability with this type of thing. I would rather "waste" a few hundred dollars than be left stranded in 5 degree weather with a car spewing coolant. > Also, how tough a job is the belt change on this thing.
