Car And Driver briefly mentioned that Honda may introduce a new Geo
Metroesque model for the US. It is sold in Japan as the Honda Jazz. What does anyone know about this? How does it compare to Metros and Ford Aspires and Kia's? Will this do anything but damage Honda's good reputation in the US? I found this site about it or something nearly identical in South Africa: www.honda.co.za regards, Keith E. Loyd |

Those that do buy the Jazz are likely to be high school students that will thrash the cars and cause warranty nightmares. Small wheels don't do well on pothole filled freeways, either. Honda has a skill at simplifying devices down to pure and elegant functionality. There's nothing extra to break and nothing that is required is missing. Not counting high school student thrashing, the car will probably be very reliable. Fun to drive? Probably not. |

I don't know about US, but here in Montreal, I see plenty of the new Toyota Echo hatch backs. And they just came out this fall. Today's Civic fully loaded starts to be expensive when all you need it for is as second car for local use. |
