Does anyone have any advice as to how I can improve my 98' Civics radio
reception ? it seems ok (ish) in inner city areas, but when I get out
onto motorways etc. it just dies and I have to pick it up from other
cars, which is a tad dangerous

I've tried a booster but it didn't seem to do anything, is this a common
problem with hondas' ? and if so, is there anything I can do to
help/sort it ?

I had the same problem with my 98 Civic's Radio, until I replaced it with an
Alpine Receiver.

Doug,

You didn't say whether it's the FM or AM that's poor. The AM on our '98
CRV is so sensitive that we have to retract the antenna almost all the
way to prevent it locking on to every AM station in North America,
whenever we're in another city. The autoSelect feature is so cool when
you're in another city and don't want to reprogram all your favourite
stations.

The FM is very good too, but the CRV has a real steel rod antenna. Maybe
you could add one to the Civic ??
