Yeah I meant on defrost of course. But I did not realize that the a/c was kicking in. I'll have to check it today. Does anyone know if the de-programming sequence is the same for a CRV? Since I tend to leave it on defrost a lot in the winter (with temp setting on warm), if the compressor cycles on, having the extra load on engine would be a definate negative. a |

It does come on and on my 2002 CR-V the AC light comes on too. The sequence is the same except that the position dial has to be at the second last position to the left i.e. not "max AC" but "from the dash". |

I will doubel check tommorrow morning, but I am almost certain that on my 04 the light does not come on. I wonder if it's been de-programmed...? Enough speculation. Will confirm when I get a chance to test all the permutations. a |

If it has been reprogrammed, the light comes on and you can turn it off manually. |
