I just had my 2003 Accord EX in for a service (12.5k) less than a
month ago. Just last night I noticed that when I started the car the maintenance light came on, blinked 10 times, and went off. Is that some sort of code? |

Don't you have an owner's manual? It explain what this light is and how to reset it. How come people will look into the manual for a 100$ DVD player but not for a 20000$ car??? |

Yes, it is a code that means "read your owner's manual."

It's amazing how few people read the inportant information that each
manual contains for the simplest of issues. Especially after they've spent $25,000 for the car. But no, they'd rather come to the Usenet and be spoon-fed. That light means TAKE YOUR CAR TO THE DEALER IMMEDIATELY. Do NOT drive it; have it towed. Only the dealership can make that light go out; anyone else will likely disable the car, requiring a new engine to solve the problem. |

I can't tell you about a BLINKING light, but as for the 'check engine light' coming on, my 04CRV manual says the light can come on due to the gas cap not being insufficiently tightened. Furthermore it proceeds to say that it can take up to three days for the service engine light to turn off once the situation has been corrected. How to decide whether to wait 3 days or not.... is beyond me... a |

It isn't the low oil pressure light. |

Post the question on the Usernet first. If that fails, read the rest of the manual. :-) |
